What’s Your Christmas Feast?

I was at the mall yesterday and still there are too many people trying to buy their Christmas presents and the clothes that they’ll be wearing on Christmas parties etc. You could give your loved ones promise rings and other expensive jewelries but the most important thing is that it comes from your heart.

Anyway, Christmas is the time for giving and merry making and everyone of us are all getting busy with the preparations. I still have to sit with my SIL to find out what is our menu for Christmas day since she is the one cooking for us. It’s our tradition to gather on the 25th at my brother’s place and have a great lunch. For sure there’ll be barbeque once again on our menu.

Spreading the Love This Christmas

Would you believe that Christmas is just 29 days away as of this writing and I could not contain my happiness for this is the most festive event of the year? There’s so much rejoicing during this season and since this is the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, everyone has so much love and kindness in their hearts.

This is also a time for kids to receive gifts from their parents and relatives. They are often excited to open their Christmas gifts at Christmas Eve where the whole family can gather and enjoy the food and their gifts. It’s always fun to see the eyes of the kids light up as they open their presents. The moment is just so priceless and often times memorable to cherish.

Christmas is not complete when we don’t send any Christmas greetings. Though a lot of us find e-cards very convenient to send, nothing is more special when we send a personalised cards with Christmas theme like this one that we send via mail to our friends and family. These days, there are many designs that we can choose from Baby Cards and what makes it more personal is that you can now have your photos, aside from putting your message inside the card.

I personally love to receive mail or card in my mailbox as I can feel the love and care of the one who sends it. It can also be a great memento that I can forever cherish.

A Nice Surprise at the Local Crafts Bazaar

I had a nice surprise yesterday when I visited the craft bazaar that was happening at the church down the road from me. I was not even supposed to be out and about because the number one thing I had on my to-do list was to call around for moving quotes. Honestly, that one has been at the top of my list for more than a week now. It is not that I do not want to move, it is just that I really do not know what to ask for or what I should expect from a mover. So anyway, when I took my daughter to her friend’s house for an overnight stay, I saw the sign and I just had to pull in the parking lot. I am not one to turn down a good craft show. Or a bad one, for that matter.

As soon as I walked into the church door, I could smell warm chocolate. Nothing says “happy” to me like that wonderful aroma. I went straight to that booth with my hand on my wallet. You see, since we will be moving very soon, I will not have time to do all of my Christmas-time baking. Several people in my family have offered their kitchens to me so I could do it, but it just is not the same when I have to cook in a strange kitchen with tools and appliances I am unfamiliar with. This little craft booth here could be the answer to my baking predicament, though.

The young lady with the chocolate and fudge booth was standing there like an angel just ready to help. Of course I would not be using her kitchen, but even better, I was going to buy my gifts of sweets this year. Her confections were amazing!

What’s Your Christmas Feast

Oh my goodness, Christmas is coming so fast and we still don’t have a Christmas decoration yet! We’re trying to find the big box full of decors that we have but it seems it’s nowhere to be found. Mom must have stored it securely that she’s not aware where she instructed our helper to put. Yay. I’m hoping that we’ll be able to decorate this weekend as next week will be December already.

Since Christmas is fast approaching, I am once again faced with the task on what to serve on Christmas Eve and Christmas day. You see, it’s pretty hard to think a feast that everyone will enjoy and sink their teeth in all the time. It’s the season to eat, eat and exact and I guess dieting or losing weight fast should be set aside for a while since there’ll be parties and reunions left and right.

As of today, I have no clue what to cook yet for Christmas but one is certain that I’ll make it a point not forget to make my all time fave and masterpiece, fruit salad. It’s pretty easy to make so it’s always in the list.
