She is into medication as well so I always cook vegetables, fish, meals with soup to have a balance diet. I don’t have a problem with her because she already knows what not to eat. She loves fruits and veggies so that is good for her and I’m sure she doesn’t want to get hospitalized and see a Howard Medical hospital cart to check on her.

It’s not easy being hospitalized but anytime soon she will be operated to remove her gallbladder. As per doctors advice she need to get rid of it so that no more gallstones will be formed in there.

Now, I’m looking for healthy but quick to cook recipes for mom and for me. I’m scouring the net for some ideas and recipes too for I’m running out of new meals to cook.

There are times that we care less about settings and we fumble on what utensils to use on a specific meal. I hope the diagram of formal and informal table settings will help us all.

Children’s bedroom should be cozy enough to help them feel more relax in preparation for their sleep. A fresh and neat bed sheets or linen are a must all the time for kids will not be comfortable to sleep when they have rough and dirty sheets. I’m sure you don’t want them scratching because of the rough fabric and or sheets with insects crawling in there. Yay!

Choosing bed linens for children is a bit different and need an extra care or more scrutiny. You can choose different colors and patterns for their bedroom and of course put into consideration the type of fabric and comfortness. She’s been showing me her living room, their bedrooms and most of all her kitchen. Since she loves to cook and bake, she really insisted to her hubby that she needs a bigger space. Now, she has 2 big oven because she bakes cakes and cupcakes for her small business. Ahhh .. I really wish I can visit her soon and will wander around her big and neat kitchen. I also love to cook and would love to learn how to bake.

Making this Nutella Hot Chocolate is fairly easy.
Ingredients:
1 cup milk
2 tbsp. Nutella

1. Put the milk in pan and heat it up, once it is warm put the nutella and whisk.
2. Serve hot with marshmallows. Done. Yum!

Today is one of those days when I don’t know what to cook for lunch. I opened my freezer and there I saw chicken breast and frozen sweet peas so it gave me an instant idea what to cook. Fortunately, I have a can of button mushrooms but I got no all purpose cream or cream of mushroom but I know what to substitute for it.

Ingredients: The measurements are just approximates bec. most of the times I don’t really measure when cooking, ok

1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. cooking oil
1 onion
2-3 cloves of garlic
1 can of button mushrooms cut into pcs.
1 carrot – cut into strips
1 chicken breast – cut into strip
about 1/2 cup of sweet peas
salt, pepper,
about 1/2 cup of water
about 1/2 cup of evaporated milk –(you can also use all purpose cream or cream of mushroom soup) Note: if you use cream of mushroom, i think you don;t need cornstarch anymore because this is already thick)
cornstarch dissolve in water

Procedure:
1. Put cooking oil 1st so that butter will not burn, butter then saute garlic, onion.
2. Add the chicken, cook until it changed color
3. Add the veggies. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Add water and the milk. Cover and simmer
5. Add the cornstarch until thick.
6. Adjust seasoning according to your taste. Serve hot! Yum!
