tips for a healthy lifestyle

I’m very sure that many of us are striving hard to be fit and healthy these days for it’s always hard to be sick. We can all eat all the foods, (Sweets, fatty foods etc.) that we can take but in the end our body will be the one to suffer.

I’m also on the lookout for tips on healthy lifestyle and hoping that I can follow them. Here are some tips that I found at yahoo.

Stick to a healthy diet:
Exercise:
Keep your blood pressure low:
Monitor your cholesterol levels:
Maintain a healthy weight:
Don’t smoke:
Limit alcohol consumption:

So far, I think I’m on the right track. The only thing that I have not been doing is to exercise. I know it’s not a good reason to tell that I’m already lean and skinny because I still need to exercise too.

I don’t smoke and drink alcohol so that is a plus for me. I just hate smelling smoke and the taste of the alcohol and the “burning”feeling of it on my stomach is just unfit for me. I’m also getting some newsletters from health sites that I’m a subscriber and also been reading about term life insurance rates so I can peruse them in the future.

Achieve a Low Impact Workout with Water Aerobics

Performing body exercises is not only for those who want to lose weight, in reality everyone should make an effort to engage their bodies in such physical abilities in order to promote better blood circulation, a healthier heart and sound health. But for elders who suffer from joint pains and other health problems, the strain of rigid workout routines can post an additional risk and might even lead to injuries.

Now there is a way to enjoy a low impact workout without hurting your body and that is through water aerobics. It puts less pressure on the muscles and joints which is why this is also an ideal form of exercise for those with injuries or individuals suffering from obesity. The water acts as a natural resistance so that your body will not feel the force and pressure from the workout. The routine could be as simple as walking around the corners of the pool area or a full program with light exercise equipment on hand.

An individual who are recovering from injuries just like sports athletes and is still on the rehabilitation stage finds water aerobics very helpful. You can strengthen the muscles without the heavy impact.

Senior citizens are also into this form of exercise especially if they cannot keep up with the traditional floor aerobics. Doctors actually do recommend this as a form of activity in order to encourage them to keep their bodies moving. This only proves that water aerobics is perfect for anyone regardless of age.

My Morning Exercises

I woke up so refreshed this morning and feeling good. As a routine before I take my breakfast, I put on the leash of my dog and we had a 30 min. walk in the village. The weather was cool early in the mornings at 7:00 am and it’s a very good time to have a walk as a form of exercise. Along the way, I saw my neighbor mowing their lawn with their new toro zero turn mower and I quickly came over to her for a brief talk.

After wards, I played badminton with my SIL and bro alternately and that made me sweat. A 30-min play is already good and that gave us a good exercise. I also intend of buying a bicycle so I can bike around the village and I hope I can find a nice Japanese style bike that I can use.

What about you what’s your form of exercise?

I Need Some Exercise

Oh dear my back is aching right now. Been on the computer since this morning because I’m finishing some online works. I guess I need to have an exercise. I don’t mean those exercises done at a gym. All I want is a simple routine that will keep my blood circulating and my muscles moving. Funny thing is that, I think my fingers, eyes and my brain are exercised well all day long and everyday..lol

I have seen a simple exercise on TV that I think I will do. Stretching is good and the simple up and down on stairs is also enough. Gosh I need to have determination. Oh well, maybe I can start tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow.
