Planning the Menu for the Week
I’ve been scouring the net for different recipes (with veggies as much as possible) online because I’m already bored with the same dish that me and my mom are cooking. It’s already the sem break of my niece and nephew and they are here in the house already so I’m also planning what to cook. I told them that they need to eat veggies since I love veggies lately.
Anyway, here’s a draft menu of dishes that I’ll be cooking this coming week and I’ll be adding more if they request for something else.
1. Sweet and spicy tuna fish fillet and tofu
2. Shrimps with sweet peas and quail eggs
3. Pork with peas with tomato sauce
4. Stir fried Tofu, togue (mung bean sprouts) with oyster sauce
5. Honey ginger chicken
6. Sweet chili crabs
7. Monggo + galunggong fish
Of course, I’ll be serving fried fish as well and can include sinigang, nilaga or tinolang manok if they want.
Menu Planning and Grocery
Every Saturday is usually my menu planning because Sunday morning is market day. I try to plan for 1 week only that I can stock on my fridge so that I’ll have new stocks for new coming week. It also avoid spoilage.
I usually think of a dish that I want to cook for the week and there my list evolve but sometimes I tend to buy other stuff other than those I have listed. I always see to it that my condiments, pantry staples and other basic grocery items are listed for my grocery list.
I also try to buy in bulk like calamansi, tomatoes and more. Our neighborhood grocery offers fresh stocks all the time.
